There is no doubt that it has been a tragic season for me and the ones that I truly love. We recently lost my beloved grandmother, and everybody knows how much of a light she is for us. With the most beautiful and warm welcoming smile she always paints on her face, she is surely going to be greatly missed. But as Mitch Albom puts it, “When someone is in your heart, they’re never truly gone.”
This would have been a ‘Life Lately’ post, but I’m at a point in my life right now where I would not want to dwell on what had happened in the past few weeks. So let me tell you about my life at this fleeting moment.
Wow, I missed my page so much! It’s been a while since I last posted something personal. But yay it’s finally summer (more like rainy) vacation and I can’t wait to catch up on (1) sleep, (2) Grey’s Anatomy, and (3) this blog!! Okay, how about a recap of school shenanigans?
After the Easter break, my class had been attending a series of seminars and talks to ‘celebrate’ English Week. We were kind of exhausted with all the sitting and the listening, but it was all worth it, since we became more knowledgeable about what can happen after college, a.k.a. in the real world. We may be free from class, but we were not free at all, because everything was required and attendance was checked.
We’re down to the last week of the new year’s first month already! What just happened?? Okay so here’s my playlist that helped get through January:
Can you guys believe it? In 5 days, the most wonderful day of the year is finally here!! I’m too excited for it since the second of September. Listening to Christmas songs only adds up to the excitement!
Guess who’s back!!!!!!!! Okay, you don’t have to guess. It’s me! LOL. So today is the first Monday of my semestral break! I’ve waited too long for this and now this is it. Our finals ended last Friday, and let me tell you this, it is too draining! Although I can tell myself that it was not my very best, but it still drained the hell out of my system. All right, enough with the complaining, I’m here for some motivation for the week!
Last Halloween weekend, I stayed over at my cousin’s house with my other three cousins. We only planned on staying in, swimming at the clubhouse, having movie marathon, cooking and eating, and just plain bonding. All these things changed, except for swimming because we badly wanted to dip in that day, when my older cousin decided to bring us to Sky Ranch Tagaytay. It was rather an impulsive decision, for it was not planned at all, and we were not sure if our parents are going to allow us and say yes. Luckily enough, they said yes, granted that we won’t be too long.
On October 31st, we went to Batangas to visit our departed loved ones at the cemetery for All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days. Of course, it included a lot of sleeping with earphones stuck the whole ride. So here’s my playlist last weekend:
